The Basaldu kids have inherited strength |
Both babes are off their breathing tubes and are on nose oxygen only, called The RAM Cannula. It seems so freeing to see them without tubes in their throats. Harper went on her RAM a couple days ago and is staying strong and steady. Robinson started his today (Tues) at 6am and continues to stay strong and consistent. This is his second attempt so we are all cheering him on for continued success.
Harper is 2 lbs 5 oz, and Robbie is 2 lbs 5.5 oz today. As promised, they are growing faster after 2 lbs compared to the length of time it took to get from their birth weights (1 lb 5 and 1 lb 7oz) to 2 lbs.
Below is the link for the Raising AZ kids magazine article, highlighting the work St. Joes Hospital Nicu is doing and how absolutely amazing they are as the 11th training center in the United States. St. Joes staff will be on our Christmas card mailing list for the rest of our lives. Robs and Harps will never fully understand the miracles, hard work, and talent that takes place at their hospital every day.

It really sounds like everyone lucked out by being part of the NIDCAP program! It totally makes sense that they are constantly trying to communicate with you all.
ReplyDeleteSo happy the tubes are out....

ReplyDeleteWow - what a great article and a great program. It must be incredibly reassuring to have your babies in such caring and attentive hands. I'm so happy to see them growing and thriving and strong. Clearly they have inherited strength!
