Robinson and Harper have had a fan club following since Day 1. Hundreds of people read the blog every week, and more importantly, many people have told us they know prayer groups who have included the twins in their prayer circles. Although the support we have received is immeasurable, and I do not have pictures of everyone I want to mention, here are just a few of the fan club presidents.
Nana K and Papa G have been there every day during this time in our lives. Buddy has had to sacrifice a bit of time now and then so they could be at the hospital.
Karen has been a great friend for 25 years. She flew into town twice from SLC, Utah, saw the babies 2 weeks after they were born and again at 3 months old. She forced me to leave the hospital and have a spa day with her which all the nurses cheered about.
Her daughter Lucy is my God daughter and she wants to know lots of things about the babies.
Matt hopped on a plane from San Fran and was there for Pete during a time when Pete needed a friend and also so Pete could show off his kids. Matt says he reads the blog every morning and has supporters at his restaurant Nova who check in with him about the kids. Matt also sent a HUGE gift box which he may or may not have had help with, and this helped us out tremendously when the babies came home, since we were not really prepared with anything.
Pete's sisters have been there for him and Maria came to town to cook and be happy for Pete at the beginning when things were very tough on him.
Fischers have been awesome with thoughtful notes, gifts and emails. Kay has a special group of friends who have supported her and prayed for the babies which of course has contributed to their recovery. I received a very special prayer shawl from them which will be featured in future pictures and I am very grateful for, and wear every night.
Auntie Lin and Rich have helped us in millions of ways. Reike massage has been a helpful component of the kids' recovery. Also, Lin's girlfriends from Sheboygan have been very supportive, encouraging and thoughtful regarding the babes with many emails and comments on the blog (Thanks skirts!)
Fifi sends cute notes and gift cards in the mail which is so fun, and Jason sends inspirational emails that end in "Good day!" which always makes Pete and I laugh.
Jack and Karen have been sending thoughts, emails, prayers, and gifts since day 1. We appreciate them.
Kimmy calls and gets the scoops on the babies from New York. It is always hilarious talking to her, even at my toughest time. She leaves me messages that say, "Hi. How are the babies? Just checking in. I saw Calvin Klein walking down the street. His tan is orange. Bye."
My friend Andrea is an RN from MN and emails her support to check in and make sure the babes are doing great.
Pete's mom Jessi came to town for a week after the babies were born and helped out while Pete and I were in a fog and walking around in a dream like state. Thank God she was driving!
The Driver Family were first to visit us in the hospital and quickly reminded us about their daughter's similar preemie story 18 years ago. She is doing amazing, and has no side effects of being a preemie. 3 months later, when they returned to visit once more before the kids came home, it was nice to just sit in a room with them and be reminded of their success story and imagine ours would be too. We received very nice hand made baby blankets from Lori. Rightfully so, Pete calls Jon the "Eternal Optimist." Thanks for being there, Drivers.
The Jacob family have been in to see the babies and also send texts often to check in. Olivia waits patiently for her new friends to join the play dates in the neighborhood.
Zastrows have been checking in, sending emails and calling since day 1. I miss my sister! Her co-workers from Sunny Ridge have also been a great support to her and have thoughts and prayers with the kids always. I am constantly calling Harper "Haley" by accident. Also, Jamie Zastrow and other zastrows have sent gifts and we appreciate it very much.

Mary has been with me since the actual IVF transfer of the eggs. She is an amazing friend and introduced the kids to "taggies" which they love. |
Mary's son Ian came to see the babies and wanted a footprint to take home. He reads the blog and checks up on them in a very caring and sensitive way. His sister Malia, the kids' future baby sitter, is a great girl who cares about the babies and came to see them at the hospital.
Becky and Denise love to see the babies and spoil them with lots of gifts. We are against spoiling as parents, but we will let them be spoilers for now. All Robbie's cute baseball outfits and all Harper's cute headbands come from Becky. Becky loves all cute baby things!

Nelly is a good friend of Pete's and has been to the nicu to bring gifts and good spirits and also to bring Culvers Custard. Who could blame me, it was "Cashew Carmel" day! |
Dr. Drew has been there for me whenever I needed to talk. He cares.
Jean has been sending emails, gifts, thoughts and prayers since the day the kids were born. She loved the babies from MN and been sending thoughtful notes since their birth. When I texted Emmer, after they were born, he texted back, "On my knees" which still brings tears to my eyes.
Nicole and Tony have been sending positive thoughts and prayers since the beginning. Nicole was able to see the babies recently along with Meesha who did baby massage. Harper loved spa day in the nicu with Meesha.
It has been said that Lori2 was the kid's number one fan since their birth. She has been reading the blog from IN, sending texts and gifts and came to town with our friend Mike to see them recently.
Corey has been a great friend since day 1 of the pregnancy. She is always positive. She does not allow negative thoughts. The babies will be perfect.
Her kids, Ella and Claire have asked many questions about the babies like if they like milk and how tall they were when they were born.
Gracie, 3rd daughter of my friend Corey, has also been following the progress of the babies since the beginning and loves them.
Nice
