Robbie Joins the 2 Lb Club!

Robbie weighed in tonight at 2 lbs 1 oz. We didn't mention to him that Harper was already there. The doctor told us not to compare them, to save them from competitiveness later, but it's so hard not to talk about milestones in terms of who did it first, who did it next...... So we cheered for him as if he was the first, one, and only. He didn't seem to mind.

Pete and I stare at the babies endlessly for hours. They are our miracle babies.
We absolutely adore them and love them more than words can describe.
It's been a difficult road to walk down, but we are ecstatic about our family and can't
wait to take the babies home.

Helping with diaper change. He already knows what to do.
His legs are amazingly strong. Seriously, have you ever seen a baby
get their legs up this high for a diaper change?

Several nurses have commented that although Robbie and Harper are fraternal twins (boy/girl twins cannot be identical obviously), they act more like identical twins they have seen in the nicu. They have the same behaviors, mannerisms, and facial expressions. They actually look a lot alike in many ways, however, more and more, day by day, Robbie is becoming more masculine, and Harper more feminine. She is very delicate, her features are very soft, and he is one of those babies that looks like a little man.
