Jessi's Post

Nothing in the world compares to having a newborn sleeping on your chest; the soft gentle movement, their sweet smell, the fuzzy hair. I'm forever grateful that I can be a part of these gifts. Each new grand child brings me full circle to the present. My circle is almost complete now, I've been blessed enormously. These kids are my proof that God loves me!

When I was young (eons ago), and got into trouble (often), my mom would say, "Wait until you have children!" I'd mutter under my breath, "I'm not having any!" I'm so glad I did, and I'm so glad my kids did too. I remember looking at life through their eyes, it made a difference in my life. Children are a blessing, grand children are gifts from Heaven.

Thank you Peter, Lori, & Maria.

Nana Jessi

This was the first day Jessi came to town a few days after the twins' birth.

Nana Jessi with Harps. She has always loved to show off her legs,
from day 1 & still today she always throws her leg over the blanket.
Her legs were the size of an adult finger.

The kids were fighting for their lives when Jessi met them.
Here is Robbie with his breathing tubes and feeding tubes
and teeny little diaper. We told him everyday,
"We believe in you. You can do this. Be strong little guy."

She patiently held their head and body to introduce herself to them.

Along with us, she stayed at the hospital every day for their second week of life.
This is a picture of a nurse changing the diaper while Jessi cuddles him so he feels safe.

Robbie's doctor told us we may want to have his Baptism at the hospital;
He was very touch and go for several days during that second week.

The tiniest baby you have ever seen. The size of a hand.
This is Harper at 1 lb 5 oz.

Today Jessi cannot believe what she is seeing. Here she is with Harp.

They are little people, real miracles.

Robbie hung on to Nana and didn't let go for days.
She says he looks just like baby Peter.
Robbie just wants to be held every minute.

Harps loved her new gifts.

She is quietly sophisticated in her own way.

This is what the power of prayer looks like.
To us, Robinson is the strongest little guy alive.
Adjusted age is 5 weeks.

Pete is happy when his mom comes to town.

Robbie can't wait to grow a beard like dad.

Robbie will finish anything Harper doesn't eat in her feedings.

Pete is having his pre-game talk with Robbie, the mini Raiders fan.
It's not fair, I haven't had time to pick up some Packers gear so he can
decide for himself.

Harps stares at the ceiling fan and makes eye contact during feedings.

Ok Enough!
