Craniosynostosis
Our Pediatrician is concerned that Harper may have a rare condition that affects 1 in 2500 babies called Craniosynostosis. Basically it means the baby's head fused together more quickly than it should have, and has to be corrected because the skull cannot grow normally. The doctor thought this because she has a ridge in the middle of her forehead and she thought her forehead appeared narrow. We will find out on Monday if she does have this abnormality, and if so she will be scheduled for surgery on her skull. We will be meeting with Neurosurgeon Ruth Bristol Monday for an xray. We are concerned and scared because of the google images of this condition and because Harper would have to endure surgery, have her pain managed, and be hospitalized in the ICU. Once again, Please keep our little cakes in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much.

Stay away from Google images! You'll make yourself nuts! She is going to be okay. It's really frightening to think that she might go into surgery but I just know these little miracles are gonna be fine....
